OVERCOMING ADVERSITY Pt 5
God has given His children the keys to Overcoming Adversity and enabling us to live in victory.
One of those keys is to be firmly planted in, and be part of His Body, the Church of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 1:22 tells us that, “God put everything under His feet and made Him head over everything for the church”.
Together, as His church, we have authority and victory over the enemy … going it alone will lead to being overwhelmed, isolated and even deceived. Alone, you are vulnerable to the schemes of the enemy, but when sheltered in God’s house, you are protected and strengthened. God never intended His children to fight the battle alone, we are called to unity, to stand together and find protection and provision within the safety of His family, the Church.
Today’s principle to overcoming adversity is to:
5.SURROUND YOURSELF WITH FAITH FILLED BELIEVERS.
Other Christians who, although are also working to overcome their own challenges in life, can lift up your spirit, remind you of the truth, and cheer you on toward achieving your God given goal. Choose to be part of a culture of people who are committed to matters of eternal importance. Help each other set aside sin and disagreements to be united as a holy people, committed to fulfil God’s plans.
God hasn’t promised that we won’t suffer in this life, but He has told us that He will walk through our valleys with us. We often experience His presence through other Christians, have our faith stirred and our spirits energised when we pursue Godly fellowship and friendships.
He’ll be right by our side, and His grace will be enough.
Even though many churches can’t meet physically right now, we need to be more committed than ever, standing together in the spirit of love, unity and faith. Praying for one another and believing God TOGETHER for the deliverance of the world.
“For we are the temple of the living God; as God said,
“I will make my dwelling among them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Therefore come out from their midst, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch no unclean thing; then I will welcome you, and I will be a father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to me, says the Lord Almighty.” (2 Cor 6:16-18)
